Welcome to R.A.R.S

Hello and welcome the Website of Renfrew Amateur Radio Society. Have a look around and see what we do as a club.

Amateur Radio is a unique, fascinating and friendly hobby that captivates millions of people around the world.  Amateur radio is a skill, hobby and a whole lot of fun.

Some are attracted by the ability to communicate across the country, around the globe, or even with astronauts on space missions. Others may like to build and experiment with electronics. Some enjoy using Amateur Radio's digital communications opportunities. Those with a competitive streak enjoy contests, where the object is to see how many hams in distant locations they can contact. Some like the convenience of a technology that gives them portable communication.

The Renfrew club is a member of RSGB and is a registered test centre for course's and tests. See Training course's

See Club History for more information about us.
